It’s been a gloomy week in Toronto and with a hectic office move - we’re glad that the weekday is finally over! For this week’s Friday Find, we had the opportunity to visit Elte’s updated showroom and what a magnificent space it is! A leader in retailing home furnishing, Elte was established in 1919 in Paris, France by Léon Tenenbaum.
During World War II, Léon fled France with his family and
created a new home for Elte. Located at the corner of Castlefield and Ronald,
Elte’s Showroom is one of the largest retail establishments in North America
with over 200,000 square feet of space.
Four generations later, Elte still brings unique home furnishings,
accessories, bedding, linens, lighting, and broadloom from around the world to
Canada. With a wide range of contemporary to rustic style furniture, you won’t
be disappointed in their massive
selection of furniture. There’s even a café for you to purchase some
goodies! We absolutely adored everything in the store!
Right next door to Elte is their sister store, Ginger’s. A high-end luxury bath and kitchen store, Ginger’s provides an
extensive collection in beautiful bath furniture, accessories, fixtures and architectural
hardware.
If you’re ever looking to refurnish your home then Elte is
the place you want to go! Once you step into the Elte its easy to get lost in
the design eye candy! You won’t even
realize how much time has gone by.
