Tip of the day Tuesday/ Floral Home Décor, The Newest Spring Trend!

It’s almost that time of year! After many months of boring and grey winter days, we’re looking forward to SPRING! For this weeks Tip of the Day Tuesday, we’ll be showing you how to spruce up your home with pretty florals and spring colours! Using floral décor can be tricky but with the right advice you’ll have your home looking fresh and ready for new the new season.

Here are some quick and easy tips on how to incorporate this trend into your home with ease & style:

1. Use large floral designs with bright bold colours.
Adding a graphic pop of colour through floral pattern will make your space feel fresh and eclectic. Use bright hues to let the flowers shine and stand out in your space.

2. Contemporary Furniture + Floral Pattern = Dynamic Duo

Use a contemporary piece of furniture and pair it with a floral patter to add a soft and modern touch to your space. Try using glossy white contemporary furniture with bright hues of floral pattern to create a high-contrast piece of artwork in your space.

3. Too much Floral, Too busy. Big NO NO!

Florals can be tricky business to deal with so it’s best not to overdo it. Use the floral patterns sparingly with simplistic designs to make a statement. Remember that LESS IS MORE!

4. Keep floral décor modern and fresh.

Avoid using tiny little rosebud floral patterns from two decades ago! Instead try big floral patterns and bright hues - keep it contemporary and fresh. We are starting to see big bold floral patterns on furniture, rugs, beddings, and art pieces now.

5. Accessorizing with Florals

Remember to have fun with this spring trend! Try bunching small accessories together to make a big statement within your home. Using bright colourful vases, flower arrangements, and garden books will really do the trick and still be on the simplistic side.

Spring will be here in no time so get moving on your spring décor! Let us know how the makeover goes and send us a photo of your space.
