World Master Card Fashion Week held in Toronto and St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner. With this in mind we have a special Friday Find that compliments the two exciting events.
Multifaceted designer Kelly Wearstler is the founder of the Los Angeles architectural interior design firm, KWID-Kelly Wearstler Interior Design. We have always admired her sophisticated style and approach to pattern, texture and colour. But her talent doesn’t stop there! She is into fashion design, literature and juggles a personal life as a family woman.
Kelly’s designs are known for incorporating
a maximalist midcentury style with a mix of graphic patterns, luxurious
textures, and eye-pleasing bold hues. Everyone adores her work and has been
featured in publications including Elle Décor, Harper’s Bazaar, Architectural
Digest, The New York Times and many more.
With St. Patty’s Day just around the corner we have pulled some
of Kelly’s interior spaces that incorporate pops of bold bright GREEN hues.
The designer has also written four books: Modern Glamour: The Art of Unexpected Style, Domicilum Decoratus, Rhapsody and Hue. These lavishly illustrated books showcases her creative work and teaches readers how to mix and match designs from different eras to create the art of unexpected style – a look that we love and mentioned in our Design Trends post for this year.
KWID is expanding the empire with a
ready-to-wear collection, jewelry, furniture, home accessories, and sculptures.
All housed in the 2,400-square-foot flagship
Kelly Wearstler store on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles. Her products are
glam rock with incredible colour that stands out with bold style. Check out her
website for the goods - Kelly Wearstler.com.
We are completely smitten with her commercial interior spaces
and her grand scale residential designs. She is a designer with guts &
style!
