We love NYC! Known as the city that never sleeps we cant get
enough of the endless museums, shops and culinary destinations to visit and
enjoy. If you plan to visit NYC anytime soon we recommend the Gramercy Park Hotel. Gramercy,
an 18-story Renaissance Revival Hotel opened
its doors in 1925 for actors, artists, writers, intellectuals and fashion
designers. Located in the heart of the city, Gramercy is only minutes
away from Union Square, Soho, East Village, the Lower East Side, Noho and
Nolita.
The hotel was renovated
by Oscar-nominated director and artist Julian Schnabel in 2006. He focused
on a renaissance-revival concept
while taking on a modern approach by incorporating unexpected vivid and bold
colours. The custom furnishings are a mix of contemporary and classic pieces,
which are complemented by a collection of antiques and rare items. The 185 Guest Rooms and Suites are pieces of
art in them selves. There is a
common opulent ambience, which makes the space a lavish sanctuary for guests.
While staying at the Gramercy, you get exclusive private access
to the Gramercy Park that is only
available to local residents and hotel guests. While you’re there, why not dine
at the Italian restaurant, Maialino,
or get a few drinks at Rose Bar.
Travel Tip: Even if
you aren’t a guest be sure to check out the Rose Bar for a cocktail and peruse
the amazing lounge and lobby.
