Tip of the Day Tuesday/ Easter Holiday Tabletop Tips

We’re looking forward to this long weekend, it’s finally starting to look like spring and Easter is just around the corner. This week, we’ll be giving you some tips on how to create the perfect table setting for the upcoming holiday weekend!

Here’s 5 Tips on how to the perfect Easter tabletop:

1. Think about colour scheme.
For instance, pastels are a nice selection or pops of bright warm colour.  Our favorite quick tip - keep it simple. Use your white dinnerware and add pops of colour with accessories and yup- your cuisine!

2. Layers.

It’s key to layer properly with your runner, placemat, napkins, and dinnerware. By layering properly, you’re table setting will look beautifully planned and interesting. Here's an image to give you a good idea on how to set up your dinnerware for informal and formal events.

3. Accessorizing.
Choose simplistic, elegant, and beautiful placemats, dinnerware, and napkins. Use decorative centerpieces and nametags to achieve that sophisticated touch.

4. Flowers!
Use freshly cut flowers for centerpieces. Ditch the complicated arrangements and go for a simple glass vase with one type of flower. Our favorites are classic tulips in pink or yellow OR peonies in deep red or blush pink. Quick tip- several smaller bouquets allow guests to see each other when seated at the table.

5. Less is more.
Last but not least, just relax and enjoy the holiday with your family. That’s what the holidays are for and keep it simple. Don’t stress out and go all extravagant because most of the time… LESS IS MORE!
